The evening

Every dish celebrated central Illinois.

Guests gathered in the barn at No Bad Days Farm for a supper built entirely from local farms. Hickman Farms grew the green beans, potatoes, carrots, sweet corn and zucchini on the menu, and helped fill the tables with flowers from our garden.

Emma Hickman provided live singing, and FFA members from Shelbyville and Windsor High School, along with volunteers, served the meal.

We opened the evening with a prayer of thanks for the farmers, the harvest and the people gathered around the table.
